What's your number?

OK let’s play a game called “How tired are you?”  Simply read and comment with your number and your email. If you elaborate in the comments about the wacky stuff you have done in your sleep deprived state, you will be doing your good deed for the day by bringing laughter to the world.  We need a good laugh, and caffeine.
We need caffeine.
That’s why if random sampler picks you, you will win STARBUCKS! We are tired…. we need… Starbucks.  $10 is coming your way. Happy Commenting. My comment is number 1, but I am not allowed to win.

  3. I'm somewhere between a 9.5 and a 9.75...

    Open House is tomorrow.
My room will not pass the focus walk.
I am missing at least 4 bazillion of the 10 gajillion things on our checklist.
My kiddos are supposed to perform a song... after 2.5 weeks of school.
I am keeping all 40 of them after school until Open House so that they will all be there on time.
My partner is on maternity leave.
    I have definitely cried today.
    Maybe more than once.
One glass of wine is not enough tonight... :)

  5. #7 today...although Monday night I was still online at 3am...so that day was definitely a 10. I hope this weekend will bring more sleep for those who are back in class already.

  6. Hmm...I would have to say a combination of #5-7 with a splash of #9! ;) We started school LAST week, but have had shortened days this week because of the extreme heat and no A/C in our buildings. I am in an upstairs classroom with 20 sweaty little firsties and our room temperature has averaged around 90 degrees, not to mention the humidity! UGH. I'm tired, overtired, and exhausted. Umm, STARBUCKS? Yes, please! lori.heydt@gmail.com

  11. 6! After day 2 of the new school year, my principal threw some giant professional article our way to read, highlight, discuss and chart! Seriously, Dude? I am exhausted! First graders really give you a run for your money! :)

  12. Definitely a 7 -- I didn't know there was such a thing, but that is exactly me. Hubby went to bed an hour ago and I am sitting on the couch at midnight and I am so tired, but I can't shut the laptop and go to bed. That would take too much energy and I don't have it....but today was the first day back so I do have an excuse! :)

    1. Meeee tooo. I wanted to cry during homework today. I wanted to say, "Mommy is too tired to do sight words with you, so go read your sight words to Daddy." Of course, that does not work because I sent Daddy to get fast food because I am too tired to cook.

  25. I believe I am somewhere between a 6 and 7- going to bed at 10:00 because I can't sleep and then waking up at 5:00 still is leaving me dead tired by about 6:00p,.. Lol- if it were Monday, I probably would have said 9! I was on the verge of a breakdown! :)

  27. I'm at a 9.5 or so.... I have a 2.5 year old and a 2.5 month old. I've shed tears about leaving them, about not having as much time with them. I'm already behind at school with no signs of catching up! Luckily my new third grade partner is amazing and understanding! Meganjohnson2@gmail.com

  29. I would most definitely say I'm #9...homeschooling my 4th, 3rd, and preschooler and preparing for my classroom which begins this coming week. I really did run away...to the bookstore! But I think I'm #2, not because I'm not tired, but I tend to bake, bake, bake, when I am absolutely exhausted! Jgenerally20@gmail.com

  30. This week, I am totally a 10, and I don't know why! I'm way past the wanting to cry stage. I just woke up, and all I want to do is go back to bed. I certainly don't want to get up and go take a shower and get ready for work! :-( I'm just thankful it is Thursday!

  32. Probably a 5-6. School hasn't started yet, but I have been in my classroom every day from 8-3:30 working on getting everything set up. The prep hasn't stayed at school though, I've been getting up at "school time," 6:15 to prepare for preparing and staying up until at least midnight every night finishing things up. I am also still trying to soak up the summer time by hanging out with my friends.

To be fair, I can't say I'm as worn out as all of you who are back to school, but I'm definitely not running on full power.

Hope you can rest up and feel better!

  35. I'm going to go with a 7 on the tiredness scale.... It doesn't help that we're having really humid weather and no matter HOW much I straighten my hair, it grooooows all day. Not flattering. Being with 19 ten year olds after being alone with my puppy and sleeping in is a DRASTIC change. I'll get there though!!

  42. After four days of teaching, I'm a #8. I almost have to laugh when I can barely trudge up the stairs to go to bed at 9:30. 9:30? A week ago, I was staying up till 11:00. It's pretty amazing what 25 11-year olds does to your energy level - I'm "on" all day long. By evening, I'm almost moving in reverse, I'm so tired! But no tears. Just good, smiley, and tired.
