Nice To Meet You
It is nice to meet you! This is my 13th year of teaching and loving it. Currently I spend my day with 6 year old balls of energy. Talk about a spoonful of sugar. These "Little Loves" are just to die for. Before teaching first grade, I taught 2nd and 6th. I loved second! I spent one year in 6th. 'Nuff said.
"My Mr." is a a fourth grade teacher. He enjoys cooking. I enjoy eating. A match made in heaven right!?! We enjoy jumping on the trampoline, reading children's books, playing Angry Birds, board games, playing hide and seek. We used to enjoy sophisticated things....Can you tell we have a "Little Love" of our own?
I adore teaching, but like my students, I get bored with paper, pencils, and textbooks. Isn't there a more compelling way to learn???? Yes !There ! IS!!!! The Common Core is great, if you add a spoonful of sugar. It needs some art, themes, and some JOY added to it. Nouns could be viewed as boring, BUT when you are decorating the classroom "Nouns Tree" with your Smart Art, well that is sweet and lasting learning!
Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
